A Letter from Peter

Dear All,

What an exceptional day we have just held, thanks to the many hundreds of Friends, Supporters of the theatre and local residents who poured through the door solidly for six hours.

This is to say thanks to all who gave their services, from the cleaning team working at 7 am to those who stayed until 6 pm clearing away, and the magnificent teams in the box office and theatre bar having the busiest day since the Friends took over the theatre.

You will be delighted to hear that we sold over 90 dedicated seats on the first day of offer, that's £4,500 in the kitty with many more other verbal orders to be followed up in the next week.

Thanks also to Wight Satin and the Shanklin Town Brass Band for making the day complete. We can pat ourselves on the back and the people of Shanklin who turned out to show how much the theatre means to them. Look forward to seeing you all on Wednesday evening.
